The Corporate Business Development Manager will be a senior member of a joint corporate-business unit team working on M&A transactions (both acquisitions and divestitures) with specific responsibility in the areas of valuation, due diligence, and deal transaction execution. This position works with business unit management to ensure strategic alignment between M&A activities and long-range plans. Responsibilities include building and leading diligence teams to quickly and accurately assess opportunities; drafting Letters of Intent and assisting in the drafting and negotiations of transaction documents; managing deal execution process; and contributing to the integration planning process. Supports business units in successfully advocating for acquisitions to senior management through effective prose and presentation documents
Effectively and efficiently manages projects and transactional support of deals from initiation to close
Supports strategic planning process
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or finance preferred; top-tier MBA preferred
5+ years demonstrated M&A experience as part of a corporate business development, investment banking or private equity team
Demonstrated end-to-end M&A deal transaction experience in US and internationally with a variety of deal sizes and types
Demonstrated experience with financial analysis and various valuation modeling methodologies.
Strong analytical thinking to solve problems and grasp complex situations
Experience and demonstrated competency in high-level negotiations
Outstanding project management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to multi-task in order to meet aggressive deadlines. Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Demonstrated formal and informal leadership experience, including influencing people without direct authority
Ability to thrive in highly dynamic, time sensitive and collaborative environment
Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills, including demonstrated C-level presentations.
Experience navigating distributed organizational structure is desired
International experience a plus
Domestic and international travel may be required (30%)
